Nokia has finally made it official. The announcement came yesterday and as expected before of what was earlier anticipated of the Indian launch of its Nokia N79 mobile phone. (We reported the support pages of Nokia N79 had gone up on the Indian Side which gave us a hint on its launch.) This is great news as the sleekest Nseries to date finally has come out to play. The new device features an FM transmitter, AGPS voice navigation, high-speed web browsing, a 5 MPS camera and dual LED flash. The N79 is also equipped with a 4 GB microSD card capable of storing over 3000 songs. We also did a quick comparison of N79 with N85 which can be found here and we are now gearing up for the complete review.

Hi friends, standalone every device is good but when it comes to comparison, then and then only the real story comes out. Although a part of me believes that every device is unique with its own place but in this world where every penny counts, you ought to make a right decision when it comes to selection. Thus, comparisons make the job easier and help in filtering out choices to the final one. This too is no ordinary comparison as the latest birds from the Nseries nest are ready to battle it out in the Pre-Release test. Okay so you think that both are different and incomparable, well think again as you would end up getting one, BUT which one! (Or unless you are super Rich to buy both, if this is the case then you can easily avoid the following.)

The Design & Build (Ergonomics)
Both the devices have different designs to offer. It would be hard to compare the two as different people have different opinion, but as I am reviewing them so I’ll put forth my review based on my experience with of N95 and N78. Nokia N85 features the very recent and popular Two-way slider (with spring assistance mechanism) as compared to the Classic Candybar design of Nokia N79. Having said that, I would put N85 to a little higher level as I feel having a dual slider actually makes more good use of space and enables extra features to be added. The classic design lacks the ability to provide more space and thus makes it rather difficult to put in all the features which I feel is more challenging.

Hello friends, I hope you all are doing great. Having posted about the Official Announcement by Nokia on their Q4 2008 releases of Nokia N96, N85 & N79, the whole mobile industry has come to a stand still. A lot of people were totally taken aback by this announcement and other who were planning to buy a new cell phone are now standing again at the starting point. Yes, I was too surprised about this announcement not because I didn’t knew about the mysterious devices but because I didn’t knew that they would launch them so soon. Having anticipated the wait as in the case of N96, I was under the impression that these devices too would come out late.
Fortunately I had the opportunity to have a round of talk with the Masterminds behind the devices and they sure had a lot to share. But before we go further let me introduce you to the team.
