Nokia N96 Officially Announced in India

Guys, this is true and I can’t believe my eyes. It’s so amazing that people at Nokia sure love to give its users a lot of surprises. Good News came across that Nokia Officially Announced to Launch their High End Multimedia handset N96 here in New Delhi on 19th Aug 2008. The device will be available for sales in September. (The Phone was only on display and is yet to be launched)

Too Close Yet Too Far : When will India Go 3G

Expanding its horizons to MNC’s and building an ever-growing economy is not easy in a democracy and we see this yet again in a matter to advance the telecom industry by bringing the ever waited 3G into existence. Amongst the worlds cheapest cellular network India has now had an eye for 3G network for long but when will it actually hit the market is still a mystery.

With reports coming in that the present 2G network needs a facelift in terms of a re-auction which has not been updated since 2003 the distance seems big. But the present situation can far be from reality as the 2G service providers want to exploit the full potential of 2G before they give way for 3G. Following is what we got from The Tribune local news daily,

Incidentally, only two days ago the TRAI gave its consent to the DoT suggestion for raising base price for the auction of the 3G spectrum much against its wishes. The DoT has also sought to throw open the auction to all, including foreign, players.

N78 All Glitz In The Indian Market

Our friends at the Nokia conversation report that last week they mused about mobile attraction and what ignites the flame? This lead to a mini epiphany that it could simply be the charming idiosyncracies of a device such as the smart FM Transmitter in the N78 that can trigger the spark. Well, if that is the case India is set to be buzzing like a firecracker, because the N78 has just landed.
