Following are the steps:

1. Download the latest version of Nokia PC Suite from here and save it on your local hard drive.

2. Locate the Setup File and Right Click on the package and select Properties.

3. On the following window Click on Compatibility tab.

4. In the following window that appears make the following changes:

• Select Run As – Windows 7
• Tick Run this program as an administrator (in the bottom)

Now click Ok to close the windows which also saves the settings.

5. Come back to the Setup Package and again Right Click it and select Run As Administrator.

6. The Setup will launch and install Ovi Suite to your Windows 8 PC.

While all three smartphones contain recognizable Nokia features, they each represent a very distinct set of priorities to allow users to choose what matters most in a smartphone. Symbian Belle

Symbian Belle is the latest in a series of planned software updates to the Symbian platform, which started with Symbian Anna and will continue into 2012. Symbian Belle increases the number of home screens from three to six providing more room to display applications and services. Live widgets, now come in five different sizes, making the home screens come alive and giving users more flexibility to personalize the user experience. It also includes a pull down menu and taskbar to access notifications from any of the home screens and further enhancements to the Web browsing experience. All in all, Symbian Belle provides Nokia’s most competitive, seamless and intuitive Symbian experience so far.

One of Symbian Belle’s most exciting features is the single-tap NFC sharing and pairing capability. This allows contacts, videos and images to be shared with other NFC-enabled devices and smartphones, as well as pairing with NFC-enabled mobile accessories such as speakers and headsets. Gaming fans also benefit from the NFC capabilities of the new handsets with the ability to unlock additional levels in Angry Birds or find a hidden blade in Fruit Ninja just by touching two NFC-enabled devices together. App-Promo recently launched a Qt-based application crafted to equip the development community with the tools, tips and information they need to market, distribute and promote their applications.

App-Promo chose to develop the App-Promo app using Qt because of Nokia’s expansive global development community. In addition, the support from Nokia on this project has been incredibly positive.

The content-based app features a variety of information from daily tips, to case studies to articles, all centered on  the subject of app marketing.

The app’s “Tips” section provides what they call “snackable” content – quick, easy, single-focused ideas that can be digested in a matter of minutes and applied immediately.

During his presentation, “Qt and the Next Billion”, Argenti noted the following:

• “Qt-powered Apps have serious momentum on Ovi Store. Our consumers are downloading more Qt-written apps on over 100 million devices worldwide. And today I’m happy to announce that we will make Qt core to bringing great applications to the next billion.”
• “Why did we pick Qt? Qt is a great cross-platform framework. Qt is modern and efficient. Qt Quick bridges the design phase with the production phase – making it incredibly easy to design, prototype and develop new applications. With QML, the interface markup language, web developers can feel right at home creating great UI’s.”
• “Qt is widely supported by an active community of over 1/2 million developers. And Nokia will continue to invest in Qt, as we’ve recently released Qt SDK 1.1, and we’re actively involved in contributing to Qt 5.”

This means developers will have both a large existing audience to target with Qt-based mobile apps (100 million Symbian-based phones, plus our first-ever pure touch smartphone, the Nokia N9).

Argenti also noted that: “We will disclose further details in due time; today we want our developers to see the opportunity that the future of Qt brings as part of our mobile phones strategy.”

Jo Harlow, executive vice president for Smart Devices, explains today in Nokia Conversations that Nokia is planning to release its first Windows Phone devices based on Mango.

“We are very excited about our strategic partnership with Microsoft, and Mango is a great milestone for the first Nokia with Windows Phone devices,” said Harlow. “We believe Mango offers developers opportunities to create new mobile experiences leveraging both companies’ complementary assets while providing consumers with a new choice in mobile.”

Featuring over 1,500 new APIs, 16 new languages and hardware-accelerated IE9 and HTML5 support, Mango brings enticing new opportunities to developers. Updates for tools, such as enhanced debugging, emulator support with accelerometer, gesture support and profiling will also improve developer productivity.

Rather than simply create one high-end device, Nokia plans to develop and release a portfolio of products that address as many of our audiences and markets as possible. Knowing that Windows Phone represents Nokia’s primary smartphone strategy, all of Nokia’s smartphone engineering resources are being prioritized to make the best hardware for the forthcoming Nokia with Windows Phone devices.  Nokia will work closely with Microsoft to differentiate its devices with Mango by featuring its iconic hardware and services, while applying consistent design principles for a unique look and feel.

As Nokia embarks on the next phase of this partnership with Microsoft, we are beginning to put in place a number of activities that will help our developer community quickly prepare for the upcoming Nokia with Windows Phone devices.  We recently published a technical article on the Community Wiki; and there will soon be a number of development guides that will help developers make the most of the apps they already have in Nokia’s application store. In the Projects site, members of the Nokia developer community are beginning to contribute some interesting examples that illustrate how to build apps for Windows Phone.

Nokia just launched the N9 phone at Nokia Connection 2011′s annual event held in conjunction with CommunicAsia 2011. The device clearly appeals to women with it’s candy colors, big screen, and almost 3D glass, 3.9 inch curved AMOLED screen.

Nokia also launched a hot host of accessories to compliment the device for your ears, eyes, and sharing sound over the air to your friends.

It’s always been a challenge to pair bluetooth handsets, but thanks to NFC (Near Field Communication), you just touch your headphones to the phone and it immediately connects the two of them together. Touch again, and it un-pairs your headset. Come home, and touch your handset to your Nokia Play 360° speakers and immediately, you are live in stereo sound, blasting away your tunes in your room.

The power of QT was demostrated in that we were able to develop this applciation in 5 weeks. The QT environment makes it also easy to port it to other devices in the future. Even though there were not API’s ready for the device we were able to work with the web API’s of weibo and twitter to bring out the social aspect of the application so as to enable fashion lovers to get into the conversation specifically happening around a brand. Using the QML our UI designers familiar with designing for web, could bring their ideas together with our programmers easily.
