Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Firmware Updates To v50.0.005
Firmware v50.0.005 is now available via FOTA and NSU. Change log consists of 1) Music player with mini albumart view in all songs and album sections now like Nokia N97 music player. 2) Menu has kinetic scrolling. 3) Quick office integrated. 4) Hide option in music player in place of exit. 5) MusicPlayer refreshing very fast
6) One touch dialling and call settings options in dialler. 7) Camera Quality is improved. 
there is an option to uninstall quick office from phone too. 9) OviSync application added. 10) Option to enable history list in web browser. 11) Option to send webpage via message blutooth in webbrowser

Can confirm that this worked OTA for my PC: 0559961. Oh, btw, this was a changed PC – my original one is still stuck in v30.

This update was available on my Nokia 5800. It was a 149 MB firmware update and there are quite a number of improvements on the UI. Great work by the Nokia guys!!

Product code: 0575590 is the last to get v 40 update via FOTA and NSU. This time it’s earliest for v50.

nokia had great features included in this version but still the problem remains. the player always hang. and the ovi player and ovi suite still are unable to sync with my 5800. although there’s a tremendous change in overall speed and performance of the unit.

Hey sushi….u dont need any site for this…… Install nokia updater on PC or lapy…u can easly update ur phone….and u can update ur phone through ur service provider if u have GPRS activation…..but be carfull before updating take ur data back up…

Hi, Just updated to V50…. but I don’t see the quick office in the phone!
Am in India have a blue 5800…. When I contacted Nokia India by phone they are saying that Quick office in NOT integrated in this update!! How do I get Quick Office ?

v50 is very cool m using net much web browsing with kinetic scrolling prety cool. No find option musicplayer dont like it. I hev quick office updated from nokia care m in india. Touch interference is better.

I have done FOTA update to version 50.0.005.C01.01, Device type is RM-356.
After this updation of firmware, my phone battery is like on drain, and phone always hot-plate kindof. Please suggest something, the battery is down in around 5.5 hrs. Thanks in advance…

My code is 0577454 in the USA. I was able to update to v40 several months ago. Since v50 came out I’ve been checkin every few weeks to see if it is available for my code. For some reason the Nokia update page is now saying v31.2 is latest version again for my phone not the v40 I am using or v50.

the new update does not have the find option in the music player. this makes it hard to scroll through music esp if it a lot. kind return the find option as it made the player very easy to use
