Motorola Q4 Loss Is a Gain

With their Q4 and full 2009 financial reports, there are some signs that the company is getting back on its feet. Earning about 142 million US dollars in Q4, with a total loss for the year 2009 to only 51 million dollars which is far better than the previous year of 3.7 billion dollars  and 4.2 billion loss before that. So did Droid help?

Unfortunately the mobile division is still struggling to make some profit. Motorola shipped 12 million handsets in Q4, 2 million of which were smartphones and generated 1.8 billion US dollars of income. That did help it reduce the operating loss to 132 million dollars (compared to 595 million in Q4 2008) but they still need to improve their results to actually start earning some money may be on the likes of Razr.
