So you came across an S60 application that you want to install on your Nokia device but when you do you get a certificate error. There are many reasons that could cause this but the most common is due to the App being unsigned. These ‘unsigned’ applications which just wouldn’t install on your device. Even with the open signed system it just doesn’t work. Why? Well, cause the developer just couldn’t find the time or the more common thing i.e. money to get it Symbian signed.

There is an easy way to get things working to enable your device install unsigned applications. Follow the following 10 step guide to get things rolling.

1. Goto iMobile Site. (The site is in Chinese so people out there like me can refer to the screenshots I am putting up along. You can click these images to enlarge them.)

9. Transfer the signed HelloOx to your device and Install it.

I use http://cer.opda.cn/en (OPDA’s certification) Atleast its in English. The certificate takes around 24 hrs, But once you have it, you can get the signing done on the site itself.
