Things are even worse for Linux users, Officially no support from Nokia.
but being open source, community driven OS gives advantage to Linux over Mac.
As you can always find applications to do some things, but more of geek stuff.

I miss the NSU and the ability to backup all of my device data in one neat .nbu file. The other Nokia services I'm not too dependent on so don't miss.

I use bluetooth to get photos on to the MAC.
I can use nokia for mac link for this to browse my Nokia N96.
I miss out on the OVI link and think that Nokia has some work to do to bring the MAC users in from the cold.
MAC would link seamlessly with an iPhone but who wants one of those things??

@rafael: I hate it whenever Nokia releases a new firmware update that does not support OTA and then I have to get hold of my friends windows system to get the job done.

@ivan: sounds good. i am sure there are a lot of linux users too. i did try it once to get back my hard disk after my windows crashed ;)

I was very upset with Nokia, but yesterday I felt a little happier about it. Nokia finally released the iSync plug-in for N97...
Now I'm waiting for Ovi Suite for Mac, just because I'm tired of having to use Windows only for firmware updates. I had to install XP on my Mac using Boot Camp only for that.

It's a mystery to me, why someone would buy a Mac. Pay more for less, that's not something for me.

hi, i've been using mac for over two years now n iam not at all satisfied with nokia's support for mac.
although they have a beta product known as multimedia transfer, its no good compared to what a software can do with mac. ie it just transfers media stuffs without much options for us.also it has a very ugly interface compared to what ovi suite looks like in windows. And then if you have to sync contacts and ical then u have to go open isync. If u wanna do tethering u have to go to system preferences>network n configure usb n bluetooth connections by urself which is weird. Not all users may be able to do this. And lets not talk about firmware updates here. When some fw is not available via fota then u have to searching for windows system if u dont hav a windows running on ur mac.
even the isync plugins were not released by nokia at first. I went on to sites n sites to get one. After that, a month later nokia released one which shows their interest for mac.

current phone: Nokia 5800
Next Phone: Iphone 3g/3gs
like all mac users , iam gonna shift to iphone. This is y iphone is such a success in USA besides the pricing.
thank you
