Ovi Suite 2 Beta Updated, Now Supports Installing Applications from the Computer

After last months update brining bug fixes & more localisation support, Ovi Suite 2 beta has again been updated today. Based on the feedback and the bug reports of the users, the Ovi Suite team worked hard trying to fix the bugs and improve performance.

Amongst the list of changes and updates in the new release are :

You asked support for application installation and that’s now working. Try double clicking your device application (.jar, .sisx) in PC and you should get your apps easily into device. This works great also, when downloading apps from web.

In performance side, we’ve done lots of work related to memory consumption and trying to optimize load times. We hope to hear your feedback, please write your comments in this discussion thread

Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 is intended as the only computer application you will need from Nokia. It will eventually replace the current Nokia PC Suite and its variants like Nokia Ovi Suite 1.x and Nokia Nseries PC Suite. Nokia Ovi Suite integrates also the main features from Nokia Photos, Nokia Software updater and Nokia Map loader.
