Nokia N97 Firmware v2.0 Preview By The Nokia Blog
Here is a video preview of the Firmware 2.0 coming in October. Major noticeable change is kinetic scrolling and more widgets. On home screen you can see vlingo widget. Where is skype? Plus we also expect some more free RAM too. Thanks Mark for the video heads up
Plus also catch what changes are to be included in the following pictures taken at Nokia World 2009.

You asked, “Where's Skype” – and yet there it is, in a way, on the “Consumer benefits” slide.
There are 3 major bullet points, look at the last line of the second major bullet point, “Voice UI Improvements, including support for Voice over IP”.
Right – so we'll be able to dial a number and select “Internet Call” once again it seems. So…. it may be 'just' SIP, or it may include Skype in the backend. Personally, I hope it's SIP. I prefer open standards – i prefer being able to call ALL standards compliant destinations for free. But if it is skype, I won't complain too much, I'll just pay slightly more for the same level of service.
