well, the battery figures are a little askew. the one for the iphone 3gs is their advertised '2g' talktime, while the nokia n97 one is more around their claimed 3g one (at 6 hours)
if we're talking on battery length overall too, n97 does claim longer standby time (400-430 vs. 300hr)
but a great post overall, some points to consider

No USB charger for iphone? i think you are wrong. i have iphone 3g and i charge all the time only on USB. My nokia 5800 i cant charge on USB.

iPhone has a simple to use, unclutterred interface, which the Nokia does not. This is the main difference between the phones which is directly related to their usability.

ya thx for information i think nokia N97 is best in all the ways as it has clear advantage on iphone 3gs.its the best phone of year 2009 and 2010.now i have buyed N97.its a great phone.my brother owns iphone 3rd generation i compared them both and reach to a conclusion that N97 is best.its not just a mobile phone its a mini laptop.

I just by N97 Mini this morning.. I love all the features.
But my members buy N900 the websurfing is great. But N900 did not have 3g video call.

Personally, here are some points:
IPHONE 3GS:
1. N97 carries a little more plastic fat around the waist than the iPhone 3Gs.
2. It is 4mm thinner and 15g lighter.
3. 12 hours of talk time for iPhone 3Gs. Nokia -> 10 hours.
4. Capacative multi-touch display. (fast respose)
5. Apple App store (most powerful app store) Nokia-> Ovi.
6. Smaller than Nokia N97.
7. Better than N97 in audio quality.
8. Multi-touch input method.
NOKIA N97:
1. Standby time is longer. 432 hours. iPhone-> 300 hours.
2. Camera is better. (5 megapix) Apple-> 3 mp.
3. Maximum storage capacity (48GB) Apple-> 32GB.
4. Higher resolution display.
So, I think that the iPhone 3GS is a lot better
