Facebook Application For Nokia N97 – A Must Have
Guys over at Symbianoid.org are busy testing applications on the latest Nokia touch device, i.e. the Nokia N97. The one I had an opportunity to try was Facebook Application for S60 5th Edition devices viz. Nokia N97 and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Although Symbianoid.org is still in Alpha and is open to a select people, they were kind enough to send me a countdown timer to the public launch of their site. Its totally rocking and people who are a part of the alpha project know why 
Coming back to the Facebook application on Nokia N97. The application is free to download from the Nokia Ovi Store. Install is simple and the application is ready to go in no time. The interface is simple yet powerful. The touch response is great 
. For a application Version 1.0.3808 it is great.
It has 5 main tabs at the bottom. Home, Profile, Friends, Photos & Inbox. These are further divided into various sub-tabs. You can upload pictures from the gallery or click new ones. Update status easily. Poke friends and much more. Following are a few screenshots of the application running on N97.
The home screen widget is also great. It not only displays our current status but also shows messages in Inbox, number of Pokes and friend requests. Still we don’t have the chat function but I am sure it will follow soon.

Hi, I have a nokia 5800 NAM. I downloaded the app but no icon or anything appeared…It says it is already installed. When I try to uninstall it says “unable to start operation. Installer already in use.'….any help from anyone?????thanks in advance

i guess there is still no fb chat like in iphone.. right Ani?
btw i thnk u shud check out the nokia india page for 5800
they have new app and games ( cricket game and darts game)

are you searching in ovi store?
you can also use the computer and send facebook app to your cellphone at http://store.ovi.com

No facebook app is available in Ovi Store… It's widely discussed on the web!

hi, i am tryin to access applications on facebook via nokia 5800 but everytime i try a blank screen appears. I have tried downloadin javascript and flash player but my phone will not install it as it says it is not supported. How can i fix this? Thanks

Hi, I like the application and it works great with my N97 mini, the only thing that bothers me is that it does not show the notifications
