Nokia N86 Screensaver Notification Light & Kickstand Are Dynamic

May 2nd, 2009 | 7 Comments | by Sehaj | Share

I had time today to take the RDA tour of the 8MP Nokia N86. It was great and the best part was the ScreenSaver is simply amazing. Earlier Ricky told us about the Kickstand having some function to it. More or less like a sensor to open a particular application but I guess at times it can be buggy. Notification light comes in with a breathing light and lights that alert you of missed calls, new message, new emails etc. The screensaver is amazing and reminds me of the faceplate time display on the Nokia 7205. Catch a glimpse below.

Also below are the options you can set up on the N86 Kickstand.

So.. what does the kickstand do?

It will open an application when you flip the kickstand, lets say the clock for it to convert into an alarm clock

omg I want that! That's one thing I really liked about the N96 over my N85 was the kickstand. I really wish mine had a nice big clock screensaver as well. They need to take more advantage of the OLED screen which uses less power.
