I have heard from people close to the N97 that it will ship the NAM version and Euro model VERY close to each other.

I'm fascinated by the Nokia N97. It looks so badass, I was hoping of getting the new iPhone when it comes out, but this phone tells me to to stay in the Nokia family, I which there could be a easy way to find apps for this type of phone.

The device is perfect! I have no complaint about chunk or thickness. My only concern is the ability to position the N97 with full on Ovi services including an app store to really exploit the hardware. Here in the US, services sell and carriers want a piece of it as well and this is the product to deliver that.

I still feel that the thickness of the device in cross section could have been kept on the low profile. still need to see it for self.

The more I see the N97 the more I want it. I'm just hoping that it's not going to be too “chunk” in my pocket.
