For those who don’t know Vertu, this is a luxury mobile phone manufacture, owned by Nokia, whose devices are covered with the most luxurious materials like gold, diamonds, between others. Recently Verty has made a partnership with Ferrari and it will go on sale a limited edition of 1947 Vertu Ascent Ferrari devices, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Ferrari.

It can be picked from Vertu stores from July onwards. The price is yet unknown, but for sure it will cost thousands of dollars, like every Vertu devices. For more info., check out the official Vertu website.

Do you think people are getting more attracted by luxury mobile phones than by luxury watches?  Well, I do for both. What about you, would you pay thousands of dollars for a luxury mobile phone?

Rohan, a regular Vertu device costs at least 4.000€, so this version will cost Much more for sure. Yeah, it’s a pitty for the common human..

  3. Chen Says:

What makes it so pricey? The labor? Or the material used? The design? Definitely not the technology.

    @ Chen

What makes it so expensive is the labor and the materials. For example, that device in the picture has diamonds and crystals on it. And of course, the labor makes it expensive too.  Actually, Nokia has created this manufacture as for “exclusive people”, so does Gresso (another luxury manufacture) also.
It’s carries the Symbian S40 platform, as far as I know.  But the point to make it exclusive is not the   software of course, but like I said, the materials and the labor. And as far as I know, despite being one of the smallest “companies” of Nokia, it’s one of the most profitable, and it sells more and more devices every year.
