Nokia E55 Compact QWERTY Launched At MWC Pictures + Full Specifications Datasheet
Nokia has been on a defensive note so far at the Mobile World Congress going on in Barcelona. We anticipated it to release a 8 MP Nseries but till thus far we only know for sure about the N97, E55 and E75. Well, what took me by surprise was the late announcement by Sony Ericsson of the New Idou a 12 MP the details of which can be glanced here. Coming to the E55, it is one of the smallest messenger with half QWERTY keypad and a 3.2 MP camera, A-GPS, HSDPA, 3.5 mm Audio Jack with a BP-4L 1500 mAh and N-Gage

Nokia India site doesn't list the E55 anymore. Does is mean that the phone won't launch in India?

the fone will launch in the later half of the year.
we saw E72 already in 2008 but it is yet to launch so you can expect a bit of backlog.
essentially nokia might have felt down sales in market to due the economic slump so it might have deliberately slowed down.
