The author clearly has no idea about what he is talking about..
#5 is not as important for adults as for teenagers.. #4 there is android marketplace.. #3 same as #4.. #2 android does have qwerty keyboard both landscape and portrait..
5. No Comes With Music (Okay, we know its still not available in many countries but what good is an XpressMusic without a music service. Although the Amazon MP3 store will be there but the eat as much as you want will be gone. So, can you live with that?)
4. No Ovi (I really like the Ovi umbrella services. They are great way to share media and files straight from your device and keep your contacts in sync. No way Google can substitute these)
3. No Beta Apps Or N-Gage or Download Folder. (God, these are my daily dose of medicines, can’t live without them.)
2. 5800 with a QWERTY keypad (Android seems not to have a touch QWERTY support so that would mean a 5800 would have a slide QWERTY)
1. Nokia Joining the Open Handset Alliance (Like Sony and Garmin have but then making Symbian open source, even though it has its goods and bads, would not have made sense)

Sadly though, the 5800 is still plagued with a slow processor and too little RAM.

100rbh: no multi-touch.. the screen in it doesnt support it.. its not the same technology as the iphone.. this one senses pressure, not electric current.. so, you can use the 5800 with a pen and with gloves and pretty much anything that can press on the screen, as opposed to the iphone, which has to sense the difference in current that goes to your finger.. so no pointy things or gloves for that one..
Ani: anyway, i don't really care about any of the disadvantages that you said.. i'm a programmer, so, having a sweet nokia 5800 with the Android SO would be like a dream..
And nokia doesn't need to join the Open Handset Alliance for the 5800 to get his little dose of android power.. we just need some awesome hacker guys to find a way of doing it..
And as for the keyboard.. that was the lamest excuse ever.. i'm sure that there are hundreds of apps that do that on android.. and if not, it wouldn't be the hardest thing ever to program mainly because of the android's 'every-program-has-the-same-level-of-access-to-the-hardware' rule

to the hacker guys: hey, as soon as you can join the android's awesomeness to the 5800 kick-assness, i'll buy one and end my life-long union with Sony-Ericsson and be forever grateful to you

oh, and let's not forget that i would finally have a BIG argument against the iphone =D

[...] What If Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Was Based On Android I know this will be a hot debate, which essentially means S60v5 Vs Android. Although it’s highly unlikely this would happen, but what if it did. So following are the first 5 things that came to my mind if 5800 ran on Android OS. [...]
