Sounds From Nokia
There are a couple of things that I wanted to mention here today, one is that our friends over at Nokia Conversations have now got their very own audio blogbites. I’m really looking forward to some amazing insights from behind the scenes on the blog. Following is what this new venture is about:
Blogbite is billed as the next evolution in the web and social media. Picking the highlights of the week from Nokia Conversations, the Conversations Blogbite will deliver a weekly round up of the key stories in a short, two to three minute, audio programme delivered in a radio style. If you’re too busy to visit the site, you can pick up the top stories just by listening to the Blogbite.
So if that was not enought our friends over at the beta labs have now offered us with some audio smileys. Good or a laugh and taking a break from work. Hope they add more to the list. So if you are feww this week do give these a try. For more detail read on. Audio Smileys is a cute little application that allows you to play funny sounds to express your feelings. It is mostly targeted for youngsters, but of course, anyone can use it for fooling around with friends, or pulling pranks at co-workers. Once launched, just press keys 1…9 on your keypad to play the sound. In addition, you can create your own audio smileys with the built-in audio smiley editor.
Known issues: what do you know, its still a beta
- Series 40: when key is pressed, wait for the sound to end before pressing another key. Phone may freeze or crash if keys are pressed too fast.
- Volume bar at the bottom might not be entirely visible with some phone models.
- About picture customization:
- Some S60 phones cannot load pictures of more than 400kB.
- Series 40 phones cannot usually load pictures of more than 30kB.
- Performance depends on the phone model

One of the things that I find the most interesting the most is the fact that people with some limited capabilities will also be allowed to “participate” on the site. It’s something intelligent And useful.
