Its not suprising now as we can sure see that 3G is coming to India with various corporates trying to make the most of the oppurtunity. HCL which is known for its hardware products in the world of computers is now aiming for the Mobile entertainment world too. Following is what Nokia and HCL plan to bring to us consumers.

Nokia and HCL are to join forces to offer mobile entertainment and other value added services directly to consumers in India. A joint venture between the two companies is expected to be up and running later this year, once customary regulatory approvals have been received.

“An important part of our future distribution strategies in India is that we want to ensure that our value added services and entertainment offerings are readily available to all consumers,” said Mr. D. Shivakumar, VP and Managing Director, Nokia India. “This arrangement is a natural continuation of our long term collaboration with HCL in India.”

Mr. Ajai Chowdhry, founder, Chairman and CEO of HCL Infosystems, added: “We are excited about this opportunity as we believe it brings further value to our customers and Indian consumers in general by offering seamless mobile value added services and entertainment content.”
