I have the 5800 and people seem to think it's bulky or plastic-y. Having owned it for a month, I don't think either. It doesn't feel plasticy or breakable. I don't think a phone HAS to have metal on it. It's also not very big at all. The touchscreen is a good size, but the phone is very neat.

That said, some of the phones up there ARE pretty fat. But then, Blackberry and iPhone are very wide. They're slim, sure, but it's a lot easier to hold the Nokias in one hand.

I had N82. I liked it very much, it was bulk. world is changing so fast that I hope to get slim like 5220 Xprees Music and minimum same power as N82 and Surely Touch like 5800

I think we are going to see something soon in 2009, from NOKIA in this regards.

Something like the N97 without the QWERTY keyboard and the bulk.

The technology is already there, they just have to package it well.

Lets keep our fingers crossed :)

I cannot name one phone, who has the same capabilities , and look thin or pretty.

The xperia looks Ok, but doesn't have the same amount of hardware.

The Instinct looks shiny but, as big as the N97, and without qwerty...

I agree. N85 is way better. Better hardware, less memory though and cheaper.
My 2 favorite phones are E71 and E51, both from E-series (sorry E66 funs but i don't like slides). For me all the N phones are fugly cause are bulky and made with toy like plastic. Thank god for iPhone. Nokia needed a slap to wake up and learn what style means.

I have that thought too for a long time ago, and Nokia stays behind SE and Motorola in those cases, look and software.. They might not be that good, comparing to Nokia, but they have the middle term

i hope the next Communicator will be thin but its a bonus not an important factor,i still prefer the functions and specifications over the looks,i know am a heavy user but also there are thousands of thin and nice looking phones from Nokia. If i wanna Communicator with the thickness of 5310 XM then i need to wait for ages till technology can satisfy my needs.
