I have a lot of fun things that I want to share with you guys that have been going around in the world of Symbian S60 and Mobiles in general. Although I try to spice up my regular posts with important news in a fun way but they tend to be more technically oriented from Editorials to Reviews to Rants. So for the weekend I decided to be more on the relaxed side of things. Get ready for the thrilling side of things and N-GAGE those hands of yours to the a Tournament going over at the N-Gage Arena.

Well, for those who are unaware of what N-Gage is I would like to make a quick mention that it is a gaming client supported on the Symbian S60 platform of selected Nokia devices which enables you to play 3D games. The games are not free but they do come with a trial for you to try. FIFA 09 Tournament – Be a Champion

The tournament will take place from November 18th, 2008 and run until December 15th, 2008. N-Gage Players who wish to participate may simply upload their ‘Career Points’ to the N-Gage Arena from within the FIFA ’09 game for N-Gage. The N-Gage player with the highest Career Points Score on December 15th, 2008 will be the winner and declared the champion of the tournament.**

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
To participate, you’ll need an authorized, full version of EA SPORTS FIFA ’09 for the N-Gage platform, a GPRS data service plan with your mobile provider,* and an N-Gage Player Name. Then, simply upload a FIFA ‘09 ‘Career Points’ score any time during the tournament. ‘Career Points’ are earned as you make your way through the career mode of the game.

WHAT CAN YOU WIN?
The top players in the tournament will not go unrewarded. Check out the list of prizes:

Overall Champion — (1) Nokia N85 Multimedia Device, your choice of a (1) Signed Argentine Maradona or a (1) Signed Man Utd. Cantona Shirt, , 800 N-Gage Points, and three N-Gage game Activation Codes for a game of your choice.

Second Place — (1) Signed Brazil Pele Photograph, 500 N-Gage Points, and two N-Gage game Activation Codes for a game of your choice.

Third Place– 300 N-Gage Points, and one N-Gage game Activation Code of for a game of your choice.

The Top 100 Players — The top 100 players on the Career Points leaderboard will earn an extra 150 N-Gage Points.

Now we have set the ball rolling, I mean literally not practically, as the tournaments have set the stage for you to enjoy the weekend. But at the same time I would like to provide you guys with a little Nokia Gyan on how capable those devices are to everyday torture. From dropping N96 off a build to making it drink that orange juice, they sure can take all the beating and still live to tell their story. Following is a video just depicting that. Do you guys want a SHAKTIMANN special Nokia N96 Edition. Well apparently the Nokia China marketing team has been trying on some desperate measures to try and promote N96 with a special Bruce Lee Edition. We also saw a special edition N96 in September with the device being specially numbered and was given away in special boxes but this is simply off the hook. Rick’s post on the marketing stunt almost made me choke with bundles of laughter packets coming out after he compared Lee’s outfit with the Kill Bill Uma Thurman. The Bruce Lee Edition boasts of some serious Bruce Lee Merchandise for approximately $ 1280, which includes the Nokia N96, a specially designed and autographed back cover, Bruce Lee action figure and a handful of other stuff. Only if I could translate what the site says but that’s about what it says according to Rick. So Nokia India if you guys are planning on the same line then please STOP.

And last a quick round of comments going over at out 5800 XpressMusic Post where Deepak has put some light on its Indian Launch. If you guys have any questions of want to share some info on the 5800 Tube then please feel free to comment below. Following is a snapshot of the ongoing discussion. My take is at the moment still cloudy but would agree with Deepak for I too have similar unconfirmed reports. More on this next week.
