Nokia N96 3D Stereoscoped With N95 8GB
I was trying a few things with my Cannon Powershot lately when it occurred that I should try doing this with my Nokia N95 8GB. Well practically it can be done using any mobile device with a camera but at present I had my N95 8GB with me so I decided to give it a try. Now the following pictures are in pairs and have Stereoscopic 3D Effects so you will have to know a few steps to view the final image which are mentioned below. It takes a little while before you actually view the final image and need a bit practice as well. I will come up with more cool techniques that me and my friend Ankur have been upto viz. Ghost Images, Intentional Blurr, Cascading Multi-Shots etc. So do keep a check on my coming posts. If you want to know how I clicked these pictures then lemme know and I’ll post one article on that as well, but for now give your brain a little test and try to visualize these images.
So, how do we view the 3D Stereoscopic Effect? Here’s what you need to do:
1. Sit a comfortable distance from your monitor. (depends upon the size of the image and your eye, in this case its about 10 to 16 inches)
2. Hold your index finger in front of your eyes, about 5 inches away.
3. Then, ignore your finger, and just look at the picture on your monitor. You’ll see your finger will “split” into two (not really okay
its just an illusion) Tip:Try to line up the tips of your “split” finger with the center of the picture behind.
4. Next step, bring your focus onto your finger, rather than your monitor. Your “fingers” will start to merge back into one, and the image on the monitor will shift. Split into three hazy images.
5. Keep going, focus on your finger, and try to get the center of the middle hazy image to appear just above your finger.
6. Ok, you’re nearly there! Hold your focus on your finger for a bit, just to get your eyes used to the focus distance. Then, shift your focus up little up from the finger. You should still see three hazy images. Tip:If things start to shift on the monitor, just come back to focusing on your finger. Then try again in a few seconds.
You aim now is to focus center of middle picture. Once you are comfortable looking at it, hold your focus. It might help to tilt your head a touch, to the left or right or a little front or backward to make the picture more clear and appear in focus.
You should begin to see the 3D stereoscopic image of Nokia N96!
