Nokia Chat Updated With Support For Maemo OS2008

October 2nd, 2008 | No Comments | by Ani | Share

Well, Kristian has come with some great news for us Nokia Chat Users. And some great news for N810 users as well.

Wow! some update frenzy going over at the beta labs, although not quite over whelming but still some bug fixes are sure better than none. This time its Nokia Chat. Good News is that Nokia has released fix package for fixing some of the mishaps which were encountered while using on our S60 clients. Bad News, well for some as a little extra effort is required in this that both the support package and the chat app has been upgraded – both need to be installed for the upgrading to work properly.

What has been fixed?

These fixes include things like auto-reconnecting when connection is disconnected, some memory management issues and lots of other smallish errors. ;-)

Last but not the least is the support for new Maemo OS2008. So Installing the downloadable package distributed here enables you to create and configure your Nokia Account from the Chat application. Well, I hope it sure will be a relief for tablet users.

On a final note, I just hope this is not as bad as the Nokia Music PC Client. Will look forward to more on this as i personally use Nokia Chat and will be upgrading just as I finish this post.
