Nokia Photos 1.5 Beta – Now Launched

September 22nd, 2008 | 6 Comments | by Ani | Share

Just moments ago Nokia Beta Labs announced their very latest in the beta line up the very new Nokia Photos 1.5 ;-) . The software makes it easy to transfer files between Not only Nokia Phones but also from Digital Cameras, USB Drives, Memory Cards, Hard Drives etc. Thus a whole lot of new features. If you feel this is good then check out its ability to resize pictures and convert video into your mobile format so that you do more with your mobile memory space rather than filling it up with media files. Geo tagging or Location tagging are just amazing. It also supports tags for devices like N96 and N78.

Julio believes makes it easy to work with Ovi  and to setup and share files online and it also camouflages its looks :-P But the major points are that I feel need to be addressed are, Why is Nokia doing this? PC Suite, Nseries Suite and now Nokia Photos? This totally beats me, don’t know when we will have a one stop solution for all these bundled software’s.

You can download it by clicking here>> Hope to get feeback from you all, till then i’ll give it a go.

Hi everyone – Nokia Photos is simply the imaging part of the Ovi Suite. The betalabs post actually says that Nokia Photos works better _with_ Ovi and that it is easier to configure to share your pictures on Ovi than previous versions.

I agree, Nokia wants to be so “in” that they only gets people’s mind confused :p

maybe they’re still trying to find a way to provide a pleasant experience in windows? i have to say, my fiance has an N82 with NSeries Suite and, well, it sucks. it’s constantly breaking and failing to connect to her N82 via bluetooth, the tethering option has ot worked once (and trying to set it up almost invariably breaks the rest of the suite)… i’d go on and on, but i’m off-topic.

in the end, windows is a shit host for services like this. i think they were heading in the right direction with Ovi Sync – let the phone sync with the ‘cloud’. then, if you want this info on windows, sync the cloud to windows. that’s my take. but i’m on a mac and the software stack there doesn’t change nearly as much (and it tends to work as advertised) so maybe i’m spoiled? nokia seems to write better mac software than windows software.

I’ve tried to use this program and I think it still needs too many upgrades. When I select a folder it should select sub folders too! For example, If I select the Images folder, it has sub folders in there for the different occasions I took those pictures, but the program only select the first folder (the main one), and not the others.. I got dozens of sub folders, so.. lol
