Well lets start where we left. In case you missed the first part you can catch it by clicking here>> In this part we will take a look at the business oriented features of the E71 and does it prove to be a winner or is just another thing of show off.

Messaging

With the power of QWERTY in your hands, you might think that E71 is great when it comes to text input, well hold on, as it is not all that great. Starting new with the device takes sometime before you actually speed your way through. It comes with intuitive editor to advanced predictive text input and error correction, but it takes a while before you get the hang of it.

Email
By far the best feature of the device and the easiest to setup is Email. I had no problems of what so ever. All I did was entered my free email provider email address and password and I was in. It supports a wide range of personal and corporate email standards such as Microsoft Exchange, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email solution, along with System Seven and Visto Mobile. It also has Encryption facility, as well as mobile VPN support for connecting to secure corporate Intranets. (To add to the discussion, if you own a personal domain, then setting up the service will require some skills :-) )

A bit of confusion here as Nokia has pulled off the Blackberry Connect Support of E71 and E66. Dont know why but the best they came up with was that now these devices support push email. Pretty interesting. Simply making things worse for people like me who own and use a Blackberry as well. Why Nokia, Why?
Rest of the features are same as the client is similar to the ones in other devices which you can customize to your personal setting. If you are not satisfied with this, then I recommend you getting yourself a communicator like E90.

GPS

Screenshot0002
The built-in GPS receiver isn’t the best as compared to other devices but can do the job if you are not in a hurry. The fix takes a while somewhere like 5 to 10 minutes to go green. Not something you would want on everyday basis. Even the A-GPS does not help much in this regard.
Once locked, the device works great and can be easily used to input address to find them. Coupled with Nokia Maps v2.0 I had fun using this feature and it worked great in Paris. But things change when you visit countries like India where Nokia Maps coverage is rather limited to a mere 6 cities and even the address find doesnt work well.
Thus, I had a mixed reaction on this and practically found it of no use in countries like India. Google Maps does a far better job in this regard. A complete review of Nokia Maps & GPS is available here>>
On final grounds the Nokia E71 GPS functionality is good, and far better when it comes to the test of time with the batter as it gives a whole lot of backup before dying out. It easily stood the 8 hour drive from my home to the Delhi Airport. Thus, battery saves the day.

Multimedia Capabilities
With a bundle of packed services like Music Player, Video Player (Real) and the FM Radio, you sure can enjoy your time when you are taking a break in the office or coming home from a busy day. The Music player is a regular player as in other Symbian S60 devices and needs no further evaluation. The browsing is quick and the refresh rate too is better as compared to N82. The only thing it lacks are the dedicated music keys which I feel really dont count as much. The video playback is also good but you might say that the screen could have been bigger. FM Radio too is the same as in other devices but lacks a transmitter. With the amount of batter backup the transmitter could have been a great added option. Well s with the other Eseries it too lacks a TV out option.
The gallery too is the one in the earlier device and is not like the one in the N82, N95 etc. It has a simple list view. Well, something going back to the old days for E71 as the E51 even has the new version. It has support for various Bluetooth headsets and works great with BH-900 and BH-503.

Games

Screenshot0028
We also have the feature of Games and trust me they feel cool when you play them in landscape screen of E71. The best was the Solitaire bundle of games and the FIFA which just made me jump with joy. Sure there a ting for that inner child.

Web
The web experience is altogether different on the landscape mode of E71. It is easy to read text and the websites load exactly as they would on a PC. Rest of the features are similar to the features of the regular web browser in other latest Nokia devices. The mouse is easy to move around and I guess in the coming days it would be coupled with Zeemote :-) The experience is fast with the on board large RAM. The ample 2.36″ display is another point that makes web browsing fun. It also supports Flash and Java too. YouTube also works well.

Remote Wipe
This is a new feature now provided in the E71. In case your E71 gets stolen, all you have to do is to send a coded SMS to the device which locks it down. If one Is unable to unlock it three times then it will erase all the information stored onboard. Thus practically making it impossible for the thief get hold of your personal sensitive information. Smart thinking, but what if the thief switches the SIM card? ;-)

Business Features

Well Ill outline the business capabilities of this phone which is a huge never ending list and it starts from the calendar (with features like to-do, weekly, daily and agenda). Events too have a lot of sub options namely – Meeting, Memo, Anniversary and To-do. The dates and months appear simultaneous which is pretty neat.
Mobile Office also cool with the onboard presence of Word, Excel and Powerpoint files. And editing documents is supported right out of the box. Adobe PDF Reader is also present alongwith the Zip manager. Other applications include a converter, calculator and voice recorder.

Package Contents
The package contents are pretty descent and include the following:
E71 Handset
Battery (BP-4L)
Charger (AC-5)
2GB microSD card
Leather case.
A Eseries lanyard
CD with the needed PC sync software.
Handsfree (HS-47)
Manuals, Quick start guides and a few leaflets.

Final Words
I had an amazing experience with the E71. It is a powerful business tool and equally easy to personalise for those off days from work. As a matter of fact I got myself one :-P
I was impressed with the amazing build quality and design. It has that first look effect and catches our eye with its steely shining body. E71 is the best QWERTY in the market at present. I recommend it as a great buy if you are looking for that sleekness and powerful QWERTY features. Well, I have given up my E90 for this so you can well imagine how powerful this sexy little thing is.
Thumbs Up

You can download games for from http://n-gage.com

or check our sites games section.

Use the download folder in the menu to get great downloads for free and some may be charged including games, business applications etc. Most are free or trial.

the internet browser is fast and good, but if u are addicted to opera then we have the download link in our softwares section of this site.
