Having my share of fun with the Nokia E71, I initially was satisfied with the in present customization options but lately I decided to have my taste reflect in it by loading themes that I believe totally Rock. Hi there, i was trying to install the cool black theme but i had a error message on my mobile stating “Certification Error, check with your application supplier”. Anyone can help me on this?

Menu -> Installations -> App Manager
Options (Left selection key)
Change the setting for Software Installation from ‘Signed Only’ to ‘All’.

I have my Nokia E71 for almost 4 months now. Far the best phone I have ever had. I love its appearance and feel, its functionality, and so on and on. BUT, there is a BIG BUT here: THE THEMES. The original themes are nothing but disgusting, the themes I can find on the web to overcome this downside are incomplete, including the ones on this page. When you press calendar and contacts buttons you still get the original Nokia themes background. I see there ara many theme designers on the web showing off with their themes design explicitly for E71. Yeah, wright. All they actually have done is they changed the screen resolution of the previously designed themes to fit the screen resolution of the E71 (even if they have done that), and none of them bothered to take care of the calendar and contacts backgrounds.
If someone knows where to find truly complete E71 themes, please post the link here. And you guys, who are privileged to know how to design a theme, figure this isue out as soon as you can. It is obvious that this is a big clalange for you, but at least some of you are capable to find the solution. The E71 communities are becoming larger and larger.

i downloaded a few themes from here…and my phone re started on its own…suddenly my contacts could not open..i went to my phone vendor and showed him the problem.. he removed the memory card and my contacts were on..he said that the E 71 themes are not officially out or somthing like that..which is y he replaced my memory card…now again i downladed one theme and the pohone re started…im scared about this…but the themes are awesome..wht do u think about this

I am not aware of this problem. I have used these themes flawlessly on my E71. On which memory are you installing them? Phone of microSD?

Hope someone can post the solution for I have ever download a complete theme for E71 that can change the background for contacts and calendar.

Micro SD Bro..I had to replace the card..should i try it again..i dont know what i downloaded on my phone which created this problem..what you suggest

Try it on ur phone memory. but before u do, make a backup of ur data using Nokia Pc suite.
also do this-
Go to :
Menu -> Installations -> App Manager
Options (Left selection key)
Change the setting for Software Installation from >>Signed Only>> to >> All
also the latest firmware is out for E71. do get that update too using NSU.

Just click on the picture of the theme to download it from your phone web browser.
u can also use the PC Suite to transfer it to your device via a computer.

Hi, I’m in the Philippines, and I’m just wondering how come everytime i install any of the themes on my E71 i get an error on my phone saying “file not supported. please contact application distributor.” are there any specific procedures to follow for the installation of these themes?

Love the themes, however I actually prefer the default icons
is there any way you can adjust this so we have the option of selecting which theme we would like to download? ie the purple theme with default icons or with custom icons..if you could do that – it would be perfect!! thank you
