Too Close Yet Too Far : When will India Go 3G
Expanding its horizons to MNC’s and building an ever-growing economy is not easy in a democracy and we see this yet again in a matter to advance the telecom industry by bringing the ever waited 3G into existence. Amongst the worlds cheapest cellular network India has now had an eye for 3G network for long but when will it actually hit the market is still a mystery.

With reports coming in that the present 2G network needs a face lift in terms of a re-auction which has not been updated since 2003 the distance seems big. But the present situation can far be from reality as the 2G service providers want to exploit the full potential of 2G before they give way for 3G. Following is what we got from The Tribune local news daily,
Incidentally, only two days ago the TRAI gave its consent to the DoT suggestion for raising base price for the auction of the 3G spectrum much against its wishes. The DoT has also sought to throw open the auction to all, including foreign, players.

The ultimate effect of this Money Race is all being drained on the public who are not able to enjoy the latest technologies as they come. Not to mention the work on 4G has already begun and India is still longing for 3G, a big shame.
It is still early and all things need to be sorted. India is sure looking forward to provide its citizens with the cheapest 3G Network but for this we all have to wait. Its always late than never. With the growing economy it sure will hit the cellular world but it will take time. Another point in its late arrival can be accorded to the lack of want of 3G by the locals. With public showing less anticipation the DoT world seems to be sleeping. But it is not their fault as how are we supposed to know what all can we get from this new service when we have not had any experience with it.
A big question that needs an answer is, Is India Ready For 3G?
On this note I will leave and welcome you to comment your thoughts about it.

Anyway… It’s quite funny listening people talking about India and China as one of the now greates countries in X and F and G and U and whatever more. Actually they are, but I can’t give the same value to a country where human rights are not respected than one county where you don’t see kids working, like you see in China making things for Nike and even Nokia!
je suis desolé
