The Da Vinci Code to Nokia’s Originality
I came across a very interesting story of the number game and I am straightaway sharing it with you guys. Would love to see you give your feedback. Do you know that Nokia Cell phones have a Secret Code something like the Cryptex which consists of Numbers which Most of the Fakes in the market have not yet understood. But with the efforts of my team we here at the S60Blog bring to you the very difficult Nokia’s Number Da Vinci Decoded which will eventually certify the originality of the device.
To decode the your Nokia mobile’s code and check if its original follow the following instructions:
Press the following on your mobile
*#06# and the-international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) number appears.
Then check the 7th and 8th numbers:
Count No. —– 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 th 8 th 9 10 11 12 13 14 15
Phone serial no. x x x x x x ? ? x x x x x x x
IF the Seventh & Eighth digits are 02 or 20 this means your cell phone was assembled in Emirates which is very Bad quality
IF the Seventh & Eighth digits are 08 or 80 this means your cell phone was manufactured in Germany which is fair quality
IF the Seventh & Eighth digits are 01 or 10 this means your cell phone was manufactured in Finland which is very Good
IF the Seventh & Eighth digits are 00 this means your cell phone was manufactured in original factory which is the best Mobile Quality
IF the Seventh & Eighth digits are 13 this means your cell phone was assembled in Azerbaijan which is very Bad quality and also dangerous for your health

Is this possible ? Never heard that Nokia has a factory in Azer. Or do you guys just refer to the fact that the number is 13 ? Also, what is this “original factory” ? Where is it located ? I feel that this is just a trap.

I don’t believe it!

The box that comes with the device clearly mentions the place of manufacture. The official Nokia’s sold in India are mostly made in china and the above series doesn’t even mention China!

Darn smart!
You’re contribution will surely help the iPhone dev-team and who knows, even inspire some other smarties to assist in the hunting.
Thanks!

Ooorr… you could just remove the cover, the battery and read that darn sticker where it says “Made in…”.
Fyi according to this decrypting method my 6120s is produced in Finland, but the sticker on the back clearly says “Made in Hungary”. Also, “decrypting” my E51`s IMEI states the phone is produced in Emirates, but then again, the sticker says “Made in Finland”. Who should i trust now? The vendor or this Houdini-like, empiric method?
Oh, and btw… what about China, Hungary and Romania factories? Nokia forgot to assign *special* hidden digits to them?
)
Peace man!

I think this is a FALSE INFORMATION!
Don’t Believe in this, check for the production units of NOKIA as listed in NOKIA website

Just buy Original and rest in peace…

Hi guys, I check my Nokia N97 and the 7th and 8th is 03. What does this mean? Is it true that this will give us true information about the status of our phone? Isn’t this fake?
