N96 : Pre Release

June 16th, 2008 | 1 Comment | by Ani | Share

After the success of N95 which sold over 7 million units in less than a year people at Nokia straight away started working on a new device which would change the face of mobile world once and for all. After not much of wait we heard about the New Device as N96. Well, it had been a while when Nokia was out of a good music phone after the not so popular overpriced device N91 was washed out of the telecom world. But that is not we are discussing here. Its about time Nokia wins back the lost music fans with this device. N96 not only boasts of a huge 16 GB internal memory (after iPhone) but a GPS to work your way through alongwith 5 MP Carl Zeiss Optics. The Size is also pretty good for a power house like this, with the dimentions being 103 x 55 x 18* mm (L x W x H) (* local depth up to 20 mm). It only weighs about 125g. That is the kind of weight a device should have to give you that vibe even in the unconcious mind that you have a phone in your pocket.

Detailed Specifications

Design

Another Slider. Wow Nokia sure is working on sliders these days and that too a two way slider. The design is pretty similar too the N95 yet very different. The Key Layout is very innovative and smart. The Music Key Navigation remnds us of N91. The 2.8 inch display sure brights up the user experience.
