The New Wave of Symbian Devices have finally been working on with the New Symbian OS v9.5 for which its about time as well. Why v9.5 well for a simple reason that it has a whole lot of new features that can sure be handy not only for the parent companies making the hardware or software but also for us users. So here at The S60 Blog we bring you close up with the worlds most loved mobile operating system Symbian OS v9.5 ;)

Once again turning heads all around the globe Symbian has introduced its OS v9.5 with 70 new features for high-performance and vivid functionality. The best part is Significant cut down of cell phone costs. It would be interesting to see how this is achieved. Following are a few key features of the new Symbian OS v9.5

1. Low Hardware Cost

With Demand paging, RAM defragmentation, Memory optimizations, P.I.P.S. and SQL database there is expected quick production and lower RAM usage. Thus increasing output per unit same time and thus cutting the cost.

2. Faster Start Up

Again with optimizing the Demand paging, File caching, RAM defragmentation both reduce in start-up and application start-up time can be achieved. This directly correlates to longer battery life.

3. Multi-tasking Made Easy

ActiveSync, More scalable contacts database, Calendar enhancements for Exchanges and Notes, Real-time networking, IP bearer mobility with these enhancements there will be improved synchronisation and IP Networking including improved VoIP, 3G and Wi-Fi

4. Youth Friendly

Location based services framework, Media transfer protocol, Digitial TV, Advanced camera features Make GPS, Music and Camera makes the symbian more youth friendly.
