Google Android : First Look

Hello friends, I have been recieving a lot of requests from our fellow readers who want to know more about what Google Android is all about. So i have decide to make a post about it. But first lets take a look at this video from youtube.

What is Android?
Android is a software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware and key applications. This early look at the Android SDK provides the tools and APIs necessary to begin developing applications on the Android platform using the Java programming language.

The following diagram shows the basic structure of Android.

What is S60Blog.com doing about it?

We here at S60blog.com are working on its integration with Symbian platform via the help of C++. We are hopeful that in future we may come up with a complete integrated solution to this long awaited question about the open source Android and Yet to be open Symbian. Presently things look a bit shady.

Is Symbian Setting Free a Move against Android?

We don’t know for sure but yes it can be the case.
